Spark™, EG's award-winning two-player abstract strategy game created by John Pursey and Matt Ryan in 1991, is making its way to your PC, courtesy of Joe Peterson and Zillions of Games™. Zillions Development Corp. has been changing the rules since it first released "Zillions of Games" in 1998. The brain child of computer programmer and chess enthusiast, Jeff Mallett, Zillions technology incorporates a universal gaming engine that can intelligently play any board game read into it. Advanced AI techniques borrowed from the field of computer chess allow Zillions to look far ahead, calculating a best move. Players can think up a new game and it will immediately battle wits with them. Joe Peterson is a Software Engineer by day and gamer by night. He purchased the infamous $2 Rules-Only Edition of Spark from the Envelope Games web site in September 1998, and wrote the Spark rules file for Zillions of Games because he couldn't find a human opponent to play against since moving to Hillsboro, OR. Joe plays almost any strategic game (and founded the American Chu Shogi Association www.chushogi.org), studies Kenpo Karate, and enjoys time with his wife and their five pets.
